11/24/2002 - Night dedicated to charity: Dele una Mano al Hospital (Give a helping hand to the Hospital), in the Club Aténas, Street 13, between Streets 58 y 59, in the city of La Plata, province of Buenos Aires. Together of "Principles With Our Heritage", it will be beautiful event; 12 hours of solidarity (from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m), for the benefit of the following hospitals: San Martín, San Roque de Gonnet, Noel Esbarra, Rodolfo Rossi, Alejandro Korn de Melchor Romero, Ricardo Gutierrez, Sor Maria Ludovica, and San Juán de Dios. General admission, as a donation ticket, will be $3 (Argentine pencils). 11/15/2002 - La Asociación Gardeliana, run by its prestigious president, Dr. Jorge Minces, and its vice-president, Roberto Ervin, will award the Orden del Porteño to the Irizar Icebreaker, at 7:00 p.m. This icebreaker and its valiant crew have been recognized as extraordinary heroes during their many courageous acts, saving many lives. During this event the president of Argentina, ministers, diplomats, literary figures, distinguished artists and various other personalities, will attend. A cultural act will be presented as well, featuring the presence of Angel Cárdenas, María Garay, Hugo Marcel, Ginamaría, and others. A toast honoring the ship will be offered, and after the solo artists perform, the Banda Sinfónica de Irizar will play three (3) well-known tangos, from its vast repertoire in this genre. Various artists will perform, including Ginamaría, plus Jorge Solá, Eduardo Pulis, Marta and Alfredo (Tango dancers), Siempre Salta (folkloric group), Coco Diaz, Ricardo and Reynaldo Martin (Tango duo), and Alberto Podestá.
